Embarassing Moments

This is KK's Mom. I just had to tell you how cute KK can be at times. She wouldn't like me telling you but you will enjoy this. Yesterday was a fun day for us. We had a special Christmas present - old friends of ours and walking buddies came back to visit after almost 3 years. We met up at the park and it was like we hadn't been apart. The dogs were excited to see each other. They had a nice walk and a little time to play in the park afterward, though at that point they were all going their own ways. Last night I was sitting in the living room and KK had gone to bed early, tired from all the fun and excitement of the day. In her sleep, KK started to bark softly and I could hear her tail thump on the bed. She was reliving her morning of happiness. She relives her really good days in her dreams and I can hear her. One night I heard her singing (howling) softly. She loves to sing .... STOP IT MOMMA! Oh my gosh, how embarrassing. Please don't listen to my Momma. Don...

SMELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, what glorious smells to smell. The colder weather makes every smell so much crisper and I want to sniff everything twice. Speaking of smells, I love cooking smells. When she bakes bread the whole house smells wonderful. She sometimes makes a roast and man do I go crazy until it is time to eat it. Just like when she cooks chicken or my hamburgers.  A few weeks ago was a thing called, Thanksgiving. I don't know about most dogs, but I am not Thankful for it. Momma makes some really wonderful things. I smell homemade bread and cookies for hours. Then instead of sharing it, she leaves me alone and takes the food with her. I was not thankful for her taking the food away and being gone for a few hours. She came back at supper time and didn't bring back any of the food. Well, I ate my usual homemade supper of hamburg, sweet potato and broccoli, It was good but not the same as the smell of bread. She did give me a piece of lemon-lime cookie for dessert, so at least I got somet...

Helping Momma

Sorry I haven't written lately, but Momma was sick and I was taking care of her. I do a really good job of taking care of Momma. When she is resting or napping, I make sure to bark out all that is happening around us to keep her informed. I also bark and chase away all the people, golf carts and trucks that come by. I am sure she appreciates my barking. I also make sure she gets out for fresh air and exercise. During our walks, when she is not feeling well, I make sure to walk longer distances and take longer to do my business so that she is outside longer than normal. I can't cook for Momma but I make sure I let her know when it is time to eat breakfast, lunch, snacks and supper. I am always ready to remind her. Momma watches television or plays on her computer but I don't think that is healthy. I make sure to keep her entertained by bringing toys to play with. She can also scratch me and give me lots of attention. I cuddle up to her and let her rub my belly, cares...
